What is infertility evaluation

When to begin evaluation

After 12 months of trying without success

For women under 35 with regular cycles.

After 6 months of trying

For women over 35 or those with a known medical history.

Immediately

In cases of known conditions such as amenorrhea, endometriosis, or surgically altered fallopian tubes.

In cases of male factor infertility

When there are indications of severe sperm abnormalities.

Clinical assessment of the couple

Basic diagnostic tests

Hormonal testing

 Includes FSH, LH, prolactin, TSH, estradiol, and AMH to assess ovarian reserve and endocrine function.

Hysterosalpingography or HyCoSy

Checks the patency of fallopian tubes and the structure of the uterus.

Semen analysis

Measures sperm count, motility, and morphology.

Pelvic ultrasound

Evaluates the morphology of the uterus and ovaries

Specialized testing when needed

Psychological support and guidance
